Syndicado Inc. is a new platform film & TV distribution company focused on documentary films. We work with traditional distributors and independent film producers to distribute and manage their titles on digital platforms such as Internet, mobile and cable VOD, working with some of top digital service providers such as Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, YouTube PPS, vudu, hulu, Rogers and more.  We also act as TV sales agent in Canada representing foreign distributors to Canada’s leading networks.

Intern:  We have created a digital role for a savvy, driven and SocMed connected intern, with an opportunity for growth, niche career development and full part-time potential at the end of the term.

Responsibilities:

 

- Assist with encoding digital files to various formats as required. Transcoding files from one format.

-Assist with digital assets management/storage as needed. Conducting back ups of material, or loading up HDDs for launch on various digital service providers.

-Develop a strategy plan for Social Media Management: help maintain an online presence for Syndicado on a variety of  Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, gmail blogs, other platforms. Including a specific roll out around specific titles.

-Update  Syndicado’s  new releases on Syndicado’s website and other appropriate web pages.

-Assist with general office maintenance such as filing, copying , arrange couriers for pick up and similar tasks.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


Degree or diploma in television broadcasting or new media production OR 3rd or 4th year enrollment in film/communications studies.
 

Knowledge of Final Cut Studio, Streamclip and other video converters and encoders is a must
 

Strong familiarity with web-based tools and social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) is a must.
 

Exceptional eye for detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with MAC platform is a must.

Adaptable to a flexible work schedule and entrepreneurial environment. and

Interest in the distribution side of the film & TV business.
